The 2011 China carpet annual meeting

The 2011 China carpet annual meeting was held on 13th December in Shao Xing city Zhejiang province, 91 companies and 135 members that belong to Association attended this meeting. The meeting was operated by Mr Gao Hong, the Executive vice president emcee the meeting.
At the beginning of meeting, Ms Zhang Yufen -- the president of the China carpet industry Association under China Arts and Crafts Association who summarized all the works of Association in last year, the most important work for Association was to improve residential carpet market, meanwhile, do their best to require carpet factories to make sure carpet quality and innovation on technique.

In 2011, China's total output woven carpet was more than 200 million square meters, the total output up 7.33% compared to last year, pp carpet production output dropped from 71% to 55% during 2005 to 2010, the silk carpet and high quality handmade carpet export to American, European and Japan were Dropped substantially ,but the amount of back glue carpet were increased quickly in last year, the output up to 470 million square meters, accounted for 84% of the total export carpet, another serious problem was the carpet unit price dropped from 22.46$ to 3.7$ during last ten years , one important reason was all world economic environment weak, and some Chinese mills cut their price as to get more orders, it was not good to build carpet industry standard , Ms Zhang Yufen hoped that all carpet factories and dealers should supply good quality product and improve their reputation, it was the only way to improve China carpet industry level .
During the meeting, several representatives who had good reputation in carpet industry expressed their own opinion of the future of China carpet.
Mr Liu, the general manager from Shandong sunshine dongsheng carpet , he analysed that under the Chinese household carpet of the present situation and the prospect of the development of household carpet, pointed out the carpet to family flexible packaging style design personnel's quality, family soft adornment culture background and atmosphere, promote, people to household carpet of the changes in the concept of consumption in time to seize the opportunity, we should learn from home textile industry, increased the decorative and functional, applicability and vogue, individuation.
Mr Sun, the general manager from Shandong oriental carpet, he said that they made big attention on residential carpet market, 50% output carpet of the company was residential carpet, the next plan for their company was to Development of high-end levels of household carpet.
At last, the general manager of Lihua household company, he expressed his own experience on Electronic business of carpet, pointed that how to lead the Traditional enterprise to develop their carpet market through internet, he had four years experience on deal with his Taobao shop, he told other carpet Traditional enterprise the necessary of use internet to extend new carpet market.
during this conference of the Suggestions, China carpet Association will organize members accept carpet related laws and regulations of the standard training at the right time, facing the complex social economic development environment, the international financial crisis hit the depth, various forms of protectionism and global issues more prominent, the domestic industry development is not balanced, not harmonious, but the residential carpet market is wide, we believe that we must can make a good future for China carpet .
